Shady Smart is unique, fully patented, and manufactured to fit smartphones that have either no case, or a typical slim case. Therefore, as long as you have no case or a typical slim case, there is no need to remove it when using Shady Smart.  If you use a thicker case, you may have to remove it. Shady Smart is available in two universal sizes.  The first universal size called blank, is compatible with the iphone 6 and 6s, and the Samsung Galaxy S5, S6, S6 Edge, and S7.  The second, and larger universal size is called blank and is compatible with the iphone 6 Plus and 6S Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, S7 Edge, Note 3, Note 4, Note 5 and Note 7.
